How to prep the space for AlorairGarage

STEP 1
Hire a professional electrician.

AlorairGarage runs on 110 / 120VĀ and must be grounded and hardwired to a reliable power source.Ā

STEP 2
Check if there's available space in the breaker panel.

AlorairGarage requires a dedicated circuit breaker for safety and efficiency.Ā

STEP 3
Find the best location to mount the AlorairGarage.

The ideal spot is beneath a support beam away from walls and tall obstructions.Ā

Heater Installation

AlorairGarage may be installed in two ways:

1. Ceiling Mounted – AlorairGarage has mounting brackets designed to accommodate two mounting styles:Ā

Ā  a. Surface mounting using screws for direct-to-ceiling installation.Ā

Ā  b. Suspended mounting using chains with which to dangle the heater from the ceiling.

Ā

2. Floor/Standing – AlorairGarage has four rubber bumpers or feet that elevate the unit by one inch when placed on the floor or any flat surface.Ā

  1. Lift the heater into position on the ceiling and mark the points for the screws.
  2. Ā Pre-drill the marks to prevent splitting, if you’re screwing through woodĀ

IMPORTANT:Ā AlorairGarage must be screwed into a stud or support beam. Plywood sheets are not strong enough to hold the heater’s weight.

  3. Ā Lift the heaterĀ again into positionĀ and drive the mounting screws in place.
  1. Use the remote control to change the temperature settings for the heater.
    Ambient Temperature Settings:
    60°F – 120°F
  2. Choose your preferred fan speed.
    Fan Speed Settings:
    500 CFM / 1,000 CFM
  1. Lift the heater into position on the ceiling and mark the points for the screws.Ā
  2. Pre-drill the marks to prevent splitting when you screw the anchors in place.Ā Ā

IMPORTANT:Ā AlorairGarage must be suspended from a stud or support beam. Plywood sheets are not strong enough to hold the heater’s weight.Ā

  3. Attach the ends of the chains to the heater before lifting the unit into position and hooking the other ends of the chains to theĀ anchorsĀ on the ceiling.Ā
  1. Manually lift or lower the louvers to adjust the flow of the hot air. We recommend adjusting them before installation to avoid burn-related injuries.
  2. If you must adjust the vent while the heater is on, use a long pole to nudge the louvers at the right angle.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT adjust the louvers with your bare hand while the heater is running.

Trial Run

STEP 1

Switch the power on at the breaker panel.
REMINDER: Wait for the electrician to give the go signal before turning on the breaker.

STEP 2

Let the heater run for 20-30 minutes.
Observe how long it takes for the temperature to change and watch out for any odd noises coming from the heater.

STEP 3

Adjust the heater settings to your liking.
Use the touchpad or remote control to adjust the ambient temperature to your preferred range.

STEP 4

Test the timer and shut down functions.
Set a timer for the heater and observe its automatic shut-down function.

STEP 5

Repeat for a second trial run. Allow the room to cool and do another trial run to verify the consistency of its performance.

Safety Guidelines

Keep away from direct water sources (i.e., leaky ceilings, plumbing).

Maintain adequate clearance around the heater.

Maintain a minimum clearance of six inches in all directions.

Turn off the breaker if the heater is not used for long periods.

Keep the remote control out of reach of children.

Keep combustible materials away from the heater.
